Make an Impact at RSM UK
The RSM UK in-house legal team enjoys a varied and dynamic workload, supporting RSM by proactively resolving legal, regulatory and risk management issues and driving commercial improvements. The Team currently comprises 11 lawyers and 2 paralegals and has dedicated administrative support.
We are recruiting for a commercial and corporate lawyer to work as part of our in-house legal team, based in London or Manchester. We will consider those with 3-5+ years PQE for a Legal Counsel position or those with 2-3 years PQE for Associate Legal Counsel.
You’ll make an impact by:
* Advising on, drafting and negotiating matters relating to RSM’s business relationships with its clients and suppliers
* Advising on RSM’s data protection law and AI law compliance, in particular on RSM internal policies (e.g. on international data transfers, approaches to AI) and on client and supplier contracting
* Drafting and negotiating contracts relating to M&A and disposals involving RSM
* Documenting and providing advice on various internal governance matters arising in relation to articles of association, terms of reference, trust arrangements and members’ agreements and handbooks
* Advising on, documenting and implementing intra-group arrangements and transactions
* Advising on issues arising in relation to RSM’s membership of the RSM network
What we are looking for:

* 3-5+ years PQE for a Legal Counsel position or 2-3 years PQE for Associate Legal Counsel
* Good commercial awareness with an active desire to get alongside our business, offering legal insight and support
* Excellent technical and analytical skills with attention to detail
* Excellent oral and written communication skills – succinct, clear and demonstrating good judgement
* Proactive at finding solutions and maintains motivation when faced with obstacles or ideas that are not readily accepted
* Takes responsibility and ownership of issues, including an ability to take difficult decisions and provide well-reasoned arguments.
