We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee operations at our boutique restaurant in Rochester. The right candidate will have a strong background in hospitality with a proven track record in delivering excellent service. You should be confident behind a bar, particularly when it comes to making cocktails and coffees. Experience in managing a team preferred.
This role comes with the unique opportunity to flex some creative muscles. Part of the role would include designing seasonal drinks for the cocktail menu, attending trade shows and events to keep on top of industry trends and building relationships with independent suppliers who fit our brand ethos. We are actively looking for someone who is passionate about the hospitality industry and will collaborate with us to continually innovate and expand on our dining experience.
Responsibilities will include:
* Managing a small FOH team, including recruitment and rota planning and supervising them to ensure efficient service and adherence to company standards.
* Manage daily operations including booking enquiries, cellar management, and ensuring the restaurant is kept clean and tidy at all times.
* Ordering stock for FOH and ensuring stock is stored and handled appropriately.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food production and quality control.
* Handling essential paperwork such as opening / closing checks, cleaning rotas, fridge temp checks etc.
* Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service.
* Implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and improve overall dining experience.
This role is for approximately 40 hours over four days per week (Thursday - Sunday). Unfortunately we are not able to consider candidates who are not available for these days.
The hourly rate of pay is £12.75 per hour, plus gratuity. The average gratuity for the last three months has been £5.46 per hour excluding cash tips.
This role is available for an immediate start.
