What will I be doing? We are working to improve the lives of children under 0-5 and their families in Somerset, and you will be a key part of that. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme as defined within the service specification, identifying packages of care based on Universal, Targeted, and Specialist models of service delivery.
* Providing leadership and supervision to other members of the Public Health Team, ensuring appropriate delegation and adherence to Somerset Local Authority policies and procedures.
* Taking responsibility for the outcomes of children and collaborating with key partners to address public health needs.
* Developing and fostering effective professional relationships and networks with families and key partners.
* Providing services to families and children aged 0-5 that promote physical, mental, emotional health, and wellbeing.
* Contributing to multi-agency early support assessments of children and families and taking on the lead professional role where appropriate.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need? We seek an ambitious Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) to join our award-winning service in Somerset. Using your lived experience, you will be involved in service development and sharing ideas and best practices. You must be an NMC registered Nurse or Midwife with a SCPHN qualification and an interest in holistically addressing the health needs of children aged 0-5 years and their families. Applicants must have a full valid driving license and access to a car for work. Adjustments can be considered under the Equality Act 2010.

The salary for this position is aligned with Agenda for Change Band 6, ranging from £38,682 to £46,580 per annum.
