We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated SEND Teacher to join our team in our bespoke SEND Connect Centre. You will work closely with our Centre Manager, teachers, and external professionals to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This is a maternity cover which may lead to a full-time position, starting on 20th April 2026.
This is a rewarding role where you will:
Support students in small classes (1:4) and in smaller group or 1:1 settings.
Plan and deliver lessons in range of different disciplines and levels aprropriate to stage, not age.
Help students develop confidence, independence, and essential skills.
Ensure a positive learning environment.
Work with families and outside agencies to ensure every child’s needs are met.
No two days are the same – you’ll be making a real difference to young people’s education and well-being.
What We’re Looking For
KS3 or KS4 teaching qualification and experience.
Experience supporting students with SEND (e.g. autism, ADHD, dyslexia, physical or medical needs).
Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and current SEND practice.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students.
