The School of Creative Arts is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Creative Writing.
You will be situated within the School of Creative Arts, part of the College of Arts, Social Sciences & Humanities. The School offers undergraduate programmes in Dance, Drama & Theatre, Fine Art, Music, Creative Writing, and Technical Theatre & Stage Management, along with M-level programmes and MPhil/PhD opportunities. It also provides undergraduate programmes in Media Production, Film Production, Film and Media Studies, Sound & Music Production, and Animation & Visual Effects.
The School's resources include the Lincoln Arts Centre, featuring rehearsal studios and a 444-seat public theatre. It has a reputation for international engagement and a legacy of touring small-scale theatre and performance groups to regional venues, community clients, and festivals.
Beyond the curriculum, students can participate in technique classes, professional development platforms, public-facing performance groups like The Lincoln Company and the Lincoln Dance Collective, and practice-as-research projects. As a Teaching Fellow in Creative Writing, your main duties will include teaching and assessing student work across practical and theoretical modules. You should have expertise in various written forms and genres and be capable of delivering workshop-style practical skills training.
You will be expected to meet the role’s minimum requirements, perform administrative and recruitment duties, and support the development of Creative Writing programs at the university.
