Overview
We're looking for two enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team in Redditch, supporting three young men in their 30s with learning disabilities and can experience behaviours of distress however their behaviours have significantly reduced thanks to consistent, person-centred support. Who You Will Be Supporting
You'll be working with three young male adults who:
* Use sign language and Makaton to communicate
* Have positive behaviour support plans in place (for two individuals)
* Use assistive technology
* Enjoy shared and individual support time
Their behaviours of distress have significantly reduced thanks to consistent, person-centred support—and your role will help continue that progress.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct support to three young men with learning disabilities, including personal care where required
* Deliver meals, meal preparation, and dietary support as needed
* Support behavioural management in line with positive behaviour support plans
* Encourage independence and participation in activities, including 1:1 activities when required
* Maintain calm and confident redirection of behaviours and a safe environment
* Work as part of a team and also independently as needed
* Occasional lone working and partnership working as appropriate
* Hold a full UK manual driving licence (where applicable to the role)
* Support with medication administration as required
Qualifications
* Experience is welcome but not essential; attitude and willingness to learn matter most
* Calm, confident approach to behaviour management
* Good sense of humour and ability to have fun while maintaining professionalism
* Strong teamwork and proactive mindset
* Ability to communicate using BSL or Makaton when needed
* DBS Disclosure: An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required (cost covered by Dimensions)

Shift Details
+ 7:45am-10pm + sleep-in + Long Day Shift: 8am-8pm + Sleep-in Shift: 10pm-7am + Additional 1:1 hours for activities + Evening support drops from 2:1 to 1:1 at 8pm
