As part of the National Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) and Planning legal team, you will advise the Environment Agency’s National Infrastructure Team in the development consent order process and, more broadly, in respect of changes to both planning and national infrastructure legislative regimes. You will have the opportunity to positively influence projects and wider regimes from an environmental legal perspective.

Responsibilities
* Advise on planning and national infrastructure law in relation to development consent orders.
* Provide legal support to the National Infrastructure Team and other internal stakeholders.
* Manage complex legal matters independently, with a focus on public, planning and environmental law.
* Influence and persuade stakeholders by effectively communicating legal concepts.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of public law principles and statutory environmental requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified lawyer with the right to practise in England and Wales.
* Minimum 3+ years PQE (Grade 6).
* Proven track record in public, planning and environmental law.
* Strong analytical skills and confidence in managing your own caseload.
* Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management abilities.
