Design Engineer – Fire Suppression
What you will do
As a Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for fire suppression design elements on regional projects. You’ll join the JCI Fire Suppression Design Team based in Sunbury, with hybrid working available (subject to experience and agreement with your Design Manager).
Occasional UK site visits will be required for surveys, progress reviews, drawing mark-ups, and client design meetings.

How you will do it
11. Understand customer requirements
12. Ensure design schedule meets approval, fabrication & construction deadlines
13. Liaise with sales & contract managers on specifications, installation & bracketing
14. Complete Design Risk Assessments
15. Maintain daily client communication
16. Work closely with colleagues for smooth project handover from sales to completion
What we look for
Required:
17. LPCB Basic qualification
18. AutoCAD experience
19. Fire suppression design knowledge (LPCB rules, NFPA, FM Global standards)
20. Understanding of LPC Rules, BS EN 12845, NFPA, FM Global standards
21. Ability to build strong internal/external relationships
22. Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office)
23. Experience with design specifications & contractual documentation
Preferred:
24. BIM experience
