Position: Civil Inspector
Sector: Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Infrastructure
Location: Teesside - Candidates MUST live locally to be considered
Start Date: July 2025
End Date: December 2026
Rates: £300 Daily Rate OUTSIDE IR35 Ltd Co.
Clearance: Full UK Working Rights, DBS
General Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with all Project HSES standards & documentation.
* Fully committed to Project ethical values and to achieve Project expectations and goals, including proactive collaboration with other project departments.
* Minimum of 5 years in Civils Inspection / QA/QC.
* Minimum of 10 years in Civil Engineering Industry on similar projects.
* Responsible for timely inspection during civils activities, proactive in preventing non-compliance and resolving problems.
* Attention to detail, commitment to a 'Right-First-Time' ethos.
* Good coordination and interpersonal skills.
* Good written communication skills, ability to present data clearly and concisely.
* Self-motivated, well-organized, resourceful, and proactive.
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or similar.
* Previous experience in QC inspection essential.
* Solid background in oil and gas, petrochemical, or major infrastructure projects preferred.
Coordination Duties
The Civils Inspector shall be responsible for monitoring Quality Control performance. Main tasks include:
* Monitor/review material test certificates in line with project specifications.
* Monitor/review compliance with project Inspection and Test Plans.
* Ensure project preservation requirements are followed.
* Maintain traceability of materials.
* Witness manufacturing activities as per ITP, including occasional off-site visits.
* Ensure manufacture record book is completed, reviewed, endorsed, and stored appropriately.
* Provide feedback into supplier performance evaluation.
Note: This position is based in Hartlepool, England. English language skills required.
