Overview
We are seeking a personable and proactive Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic watch sales team from our retail shop on North Road, Brighton. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop organisational skills and gain valuable experience in sales and merchandising.
Duties
* Assist customers with their purchases, providing friendly and knowledgeable service at all times
* Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays
* Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions to maximise sales opportunities
* Handle customer enquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and courtesy
* Organise stock levels, restock shelves, and ensure the store remains tidy and well-presented
* Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including handling cash and card payments
* Manage time effectively to ensure all duties are completed within scheduled shifts
* Support in organising promotional events or seasonal displays as required
* Provide feedback on customer preferences and product trends to management
Experience
* Previous retail experience working with Watches and Jewellery is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
* Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
* Good time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities during shifts
* Knowledge of merchandising principles and upselling techniques is desirable
* Professional phone etiquette and organisational skills are essential for delivering outstanding customer service
