What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Support the HR Manager in the delivery of the immediate and long-term objectives of the site and to develop and deliver the People Plan
* Develop and upskill the HR Team in line with our values, to ensure we provide timely, effective, and comprehensive support to line managers and stakeholders
* Effectively manage complex Employee Relations (ER)and Policy issues, as well as proactively reviewing ER trends
* Work in partnership with the HR Team and identify ER solutions that will continuously improve the management of ER challenges across the business
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar senior HR Advisor / generalist role, ideally within a unionised environment
* A strong understanding and application of employment law, with experience of managing medium-high risk ER cases to conclusion
* Excellent knowledge of HR policy, best practice, employee relations and change management approaches
* Experience in engaging large groups of people and getting involved in engagement campaigns, with the ability to draw together and analyse different arguments
