This is a fixed term post for 18 months.
Do you have a passion for being active and to support others in being able to travel around our city safely, on foot or by bike?
If so, we may have just the role for you.
We are currently looking for someone who is able to promote active travel to residents within our small, friendly and busy team.
You will support the Senior Active Travel Officer in delivering the work of the team.
We have ambitious plans for the future development of our walking and cycling routes in order to encourage more walking and cycling trips as part of a wider ambition tackle the climate emergency, clean up our air, support active and healthy lifestyles and facilitate improved economic opportunities and growth.
We work with schools, businesses and developers as well as colleagues from other teams and partners such as Active Travel England in order to achieve our vision.
We offer hybrid working - a mix of office, on-site and home-working - over a five day working week.
Very occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Full support will be given to you to settle into your role and to achieve your objectives. The post is 37 hours per week and is initially fixed term until 30th September 2025.
