Quantity Surveyor – Asset Management, NEWLON HOUSING TRUST
Salary: £60,000 per annum plus eligibility to earn up to 5% performance-related bonus.
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Hale Village, London N17
Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London.
Responsibilities
* Support the Head of Service in delivering Newlon’s responsive, planned and reactive work streams, taking responsibility for financial management and cost control across multiple workstreams to ensure projects remain within budget.
* Use the National Federation Schedule of Rates to scope and quantify works, identify trends in code usage, and work with building surveyors to review daily variation requests.
* Enhance technical knowledge and provide accurate reports and forecasts.
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar role with memberships of CIOB or RICS.
* Extensive experience of property surveying and demonstrable ability to write in‑depth inspection reports.
* Proven skills in preparing schedules of works and project and programme management.
* Excellent knowledge of cost control principles within the construction industry, an eye for detail and the ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure.
