The role
We are seeking a motivated and patient focused Salaried General Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive practice team for 2-4 sessions per week. The post holder will deliver high quality primary care services to our patient population, working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care.
Main duties of the job Clinical Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, patient-centred consultations
Manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
Prescribe in accordance with local and national guidelines
Manage clinical workload safely and effectively
Provide health promotion and preventative care to patients
Practice and Administrative Responsibilities
Work collaboratively within the MDT team
Participate in practice meetings and contribute to service development
Support the achievement of QOF targets and enhanced services
Contribute to the training and supervision of GP registrars, medical students, or other learners where appropriate
Process clinical correspondence, and referrals in a timely manner
Complete associated admin tasks linked to patient care
Maintain compliance with CQC standards and practice policies
Professional Development
Maintain professional registration with the GMC and the Performers List
Participate in annual appraisal and revalidation
Keep up to date with national guidelines and best practice
Safeguarding & Governance
Adhere to safeguarding policies for children and vulnerable adults
Participate in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement activities
Work within practice policies, NHS guidelines, and medico legal frameworks
Qualifications
Fully qualified General Practitioner (MRCGP or equivalent)
Registered with the General Medical Council (GMC)
Inclusion on NHS Performers List
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Commitment to high standards of patient care
Previous experience in a GP setting
Interest in a clinical specialism
Experience in teaching or mentoring
