Quays Housing is a Charitable Community Benefit Society providing high quality housing management and support services with the aim of reducing and preventing homelessness in the UK.
We work proactively to reduce homelessness advocating for the right of every person to live in a secure and safe environment. We have supported over 800 tenants, working across 15 Local Authorities targeting where there is a high priority need to tackle homelessness.

We are recruiting a Scheme Manager who is passionate about and experienced in working in homeless services to ensure that services are delivered to a high standard in line the Quays Housing values.
You will provide day to day management across our two Brighton short term low support accommodation services to those who are homeless, vulnerable, or excluded, from a diverse range of backgrounds in line with the Brighton and Hove contract.
You will work closely with the Scheme Manager for our Emergency accommodation service in Brighton and will manage and support a small team of Personal Mentors who provide support to a caseload of residents to become independent and gain the life skills to be able to move onto independent living in the future.
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience of working with accommodation housing management services (preferably within homeless services)
* Managerial experience from within a social housing background and be able to effectively lead, manage, motivate and develop their team
* Good knowledge of local, regional, and national housing initiatives, strategies and policies relating to homelessness and prevention
* Experience of developing / maintaining cross-team / sector networks and liaisons to ensure collaborative working in a multi-agency setting
* Strong knowledge regarding homelessness; current benefit systems and the varying housing and tenancy Laws
* Good up-to-date knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 and the Care Act 2004
* Experience of managing budgets
* Knowledge and experience in of health and safety compliance for supported housing and services
* The ability to oversee day to day repairs and maintenance of all the managed properties
* The ability to manage and escalate risk situations including Safeguarding
The salary for this position will be dependant on experience.
