Overview
A growing manufacturing business in Hertfordshire is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative to support its finishing and coating processes. This role involves preparing metal components, assisting with automated coating systems, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out general preparation of metalwork, including sanding and degreasing
* Mask components as required prior to coating processes
* Load and hang items onto automated track systems safely and efficiently
* Inspect coated items to ensure they meet quality standards
* Pack finished items carefully to prevent damage during handling and transport
* Collate completed work against bills of materials, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or missing items
* Follow all company health and safety procedures at all times
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or workshop environment preferred
* Good attention to detail and ability to identify defects
* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
* Physically capable of handling manual tasks and standing for extended periods
* Strong awareness of workplace safety practices
Working Hours
Standard working hours apply (to be confirmed), with potential for overtime depending on workload.
