Contract Type: Fixed-term contract until 02/08/2026. 18.5h per week
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated and fast paced teaching, mentoring and EHCP co-ordinator team, providing HSDC’s SEND learners with high quality all-round support. You will be the first point of contact for students and staff in our Study Centre, managing queries and supporting our stakeholders to organise ALS interviews, referrals, and directing students to the most appropriate resource and team. This post is 18.5 hours a week and there is flexibility on when these hours are worked.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Act as first point of contact for staff, student, parent/carer and other agency enquiries, ensuring a high quality service
* Distribute referrals for support from college staff to ALS Teachers, as directed by Programme Leaders and provide the administrative support needed for this process to be effective
* Assist the EHCP Coordinator team in tracking EHCPs, planning timely annual reviews and booking annual review meetings for designated staff
* Signpost students to appropriate support, including learning support, health and wellbeing and exams
* Liaise with EHCP Coordinators, parents/carers and other agencies to facilitate transition visits and information gathering. Refer requests for transition visits to the ALS Transitions Lead
* Ensure financial, human and other resources are deployed efficiently and effectively
Requirements
You will need:
* English and Maths to at least a level 2
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and maintain data security
* Thorough understanding of the barriers to learning faced by students
* Level 2 / 3 qualification in SEND or working towards
