Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council is seeking a forward-thinking, dedicated, and
community-minded Town Clerk to lead our organisation into its next chapter.

This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll
oversee the council's statutory responsibilities
lead and support a committed team of 14 staff
champion the interests of our community by fostering strong local
partnerships.

Role Responsibilities
Manage the council's statutory responsibilities and compliance.
Provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the council, advising on and supporting the development of initiatives, policies, priorities, and delivery plans.
Lead and manage the council's staff team of 14 to drive continuous improvement in service delivery and ensure the effective, efficient use of resources for the benefit of the community. (The Town Clerk will be supported by a Finance Manager who acts as responsible financial officer and reports to the Town Clerk.)
Deliver a programme of effective communications and engagement with the community of Bletchley and Fenny Stratford.
Develop effective collaborations with partner organisations.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with theoretical knowledge and practical experience of local government and the statutory duties of town councils. General management experience is essential as are analytical skills, the ability to undertake independent research and and to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
