Control Room Assistant
Location: The Oracle Shopping Centre, Reading
Pay Rate: £15.07 per hour
Become a vital part of the team that keeps The Oracle running smoothly and safely. The Control Room stands as the central communication hub and the critical nerve centre for the entire scheme. In this dynamic role, you will be at the forefront of monitoring essential systems that directly impact the day‑to‑day operational effectiveness of The Oracle, ensuring a seamless experience for everyone. You will also play a crucial role in safeguarding the well‑being of our customers, retailers, and staff through diligent monitoring of the comprehensive CCTV system.
Duties
* Operate all systems within the Control Room.
* Control and manage CCTV cameras in accordance with data protection requirements.
* Record and update the Duty Controller with daily activities and prepare data for daily reports.
* Follow and implement all security aspects and procedures within the Control Room.
* Control radio traffic to ensure effective use of the system.
* Cover Control Room Shift Manager duties when required.
Qualifications
* Must hold an SIA CCTV licence.
* Must have a desirable SIA Level 2 Door Supervisor licence.
* Successful completion of British Standards 7858 vetting (five‑year checkable history and confirmation of right to work in the UK).
