Due to continued growth across the region, Cook Brothers Construction are seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our team in the Twizel area.
This fixed term role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a meaningful community project, with the potential to be involved in others down the line.
As a hands-on leader you will play a key role in setting the standard on site, working closely with Site Managers, Build Team Managers and Foreman to ensure high quality project delivery, on time and within budget.

Duties:
* Leading and supporting the team on the tools to achieve project goals
* Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, delivering clear communication and exceptional service
* Taking a proactive, solution-focused approach to mitigate site risks
* Providing on-site leadership under the direction of the Build Team or Site Manager
* Acting as the key liaison between contractors, apprentices, labourers and site management
* Delegating and communicating tasks clearly to ensure a smooth and efficient build process
Skills and Experience:
* Must have NZ/AUS recognised Carpentry qualification
* Proven experience in commercial construction, with strong structural knowledge
* Experience in a Leadership role within the Construction Industry is a must
* A passion for mentoring and developing others and celebrating team success
* Strong communication skills, including the confidence to hold honest and constructive conversations
* A proactive approach to Health and Safety Leadership
