Senior Product Designer - AI Agents at Zendesk. Zendesk builds software crafted to improve the customer experience. We lead the industry with simple software and innovate continuously. Design is a collaborative part of the company, working with Product Managers, Engineers, Content Designers, and Researchers. We focus on rapid prototyping, experimentation, and a deep understanding of our customers and their needs.
As a Senior Product Designer for our AI agents team, you will take a systems-oriented approach to define the vision for creating a best-in-class AI automation platform. You will focus on unlocking the full potential of Agentic AI for our customers, making configuration and optimization simple yet impactful while collaborating with other designers to ensure an optimal end-to-end experience. Your role is critical to the success and adoption of the AI agents product mission and to Zendesk’s position as a leading AI-powered customer service automation platform.
You will collaborate primarily with teams in Poland, Germany, and Portugal, as well as distributed teams across AMER, EMEA & APAC.
What You Will Do
* Live and breathe AI, self-service, and adoption — design for easy adoption, efficient configuration, and impact for a diverse set of customers.
* Partner with product and engineering teams to research and develop new AI automation and bot capabilities for customers.
* Work across cross-functional teams with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to develop designs from ideation to execution with a detailed design process.
* Design interaction models, flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups that promote ease of use and optimize customer interaction, aligned with the larger product vision.
* Present design solutions to partners and senior executives, defend design decisions, and incorporate feedback into the design cycle.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of professional experience designing consumer or business SaaS applications (enterprise is a plus).
* Experience designing for a product-led growth mindset to optimize for adoption.
* Prior experience with designing generative AI-powered product experiences and AI-enhanced workflows.
* Ability to operate in a technical environment and visualize the impact of technical decisions on the global user experience.
* Proactive self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and capable of rapidly prototyping design concepts at all fidelity levels.
* Solid design process and collaboration mindset, with the ability to educate product teams on how to work effectively with designers.
* A strong visual portfolio showing your work, detailing your role, and examples of functional designs from start to finish.
