Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
* Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies.
* Assist in managing kitchen operations during peak service times, ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
* Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines is highly desirable.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
