Located in Royston, Hertfordshire, within a purpose‑built facility and spacious grounds, Priory Hospital Kneesworth House is one of the largest Priory Hospitals in the UK, offering secure, acute, PICU and rehab inpatient services.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
* Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu.
* Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983). The role is to support 10‑bedded female PICU and rehab, with full support from a speciality doctor; and participate in 2nd on‑call Consultant rota. The role may change based on site needs.
* Supervising the process of referral and admission, including contributing to preadmission assessments of young people with other team members.
* Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation and treatment of adults.
* Contributing to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital, and contributing to the development of service strategy.

Person Specification
* CCT (or equivalent) and inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register
* Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status
* Clinical Knowledge, skills and experience relevant to the speciality
* Ability to work in and lead a team
* Demonstrate commitment to shared leadership & collaborative working to deliver improvement
* Participated in continuous professional development
* Holds and will use a valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of proposed alternative
