South Leicester Hybrid (2/3 days office 2/3 days home)
We’re looking for a Head of Accounting and Control to join our medium to large sized client, a member-owned cooperative supporting over 1,300 independent construction related businesses across the UK.
Location and Reporting
Based at its South Leicester office, this role is a key part of the Finance leadership team, reporting to the Finance and Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities
* Own management accounts, financial reporting, cash flow management and financial controls.
* Drive financial insight and operational efficiency across the business.
* Lead a small team and help manage financial processes supporting a GBP 200m of monthly transactions.
* Play an important role in the company’s digital transformation, implementing new systems, technologies and AI to enhance member support.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW).
* Strong experience in management accounts and financial reporting.
* Ability to communicate financial insight clearly to senior stakeholders.
* Enjoys working hands‑on while maintaining strategic oversight.
