Assistant Head of Sound & Video
We are seeking a skilled Assistant Head of Sound & Video to join our Sound Team at Curve. As Assistant Head of Department you will support the Head of Sound & Video in the day to day planning and running of a busy Technical Sound & Video Department. You will have proven experience in all key areas of the specialism, including proven skills in sound mixing to a high standard along with good all‑round knowledge of digital mixing consoles, audio networking and video playback systems.
Responsibilities
* Support the Head of Sound & Video in the day‑to‑day planning and running of the Technical Sound & Video Department.
* Prepare and support performances and events with high‑quality sound mixing.
* Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of multiple performance spaces.
* Deputise for the Head of Sound & Video when required.
* Collaborate with other key technical team members to ensure Curve’s programming of Visting and Made at Curve productions are facilitated to the highest standard.
* Manage specific areas of the specialism matching your experience and independently manage projects as agreed.
Qualifications
* Proven experience and advanced knowledge in Sound, including experience with digital mixing consoles.
* Knowledge of audio networking and video playback systems.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in maintaining technical equipment and managing small technical teams.
Location & Travel
The role is primarily based at Curve Theatre Leicester, however from time to time you may be asked to support Made at Curve work out on Tour.
