Main duties of the job
As a Care Assistant, your focus will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
These duties include assisting residents with personal hygiene care, recognising and understanding clinical risk areas, and acting courteously towards residents and their visitors while respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident. You will be expected to practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

About the role
Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
Other responsibilities
* Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
* Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infections and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
* Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practising safe systems of work across the range of tasks.

* Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

* DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
Person specification
Experience is not required as Avery Healthcare offers a thorough induction and training programme to ensure confidence within the role. Ideal candidates demonstrate communication skills, initiative, respect, efficiency, adaptability and flexibility.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
Submission for Disclosure to the DBS is required to check for any previous criminal convictions.
