Bank Clinical Nurse Specialist – Gynaecology
Bank Contract – Salary: Bank rates – Location: Birmingham, The Harborne Hospital
We’re looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Gynaecology to join our expert team at The Harborne Hospital. As a Bank CNS you will play a vital role supporting patients throughout their journey, from pre‑diagnosis through treatment and recovery.
You Will
* Provide expert clinical, educational, and psychological support to patients and their families.
* Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT), including oncologists, breast surgeons, radiologists, and consultant pathologists.
* Attend MDT meetings, share recommendations with consultants, and ensure continuity of care by linking with other healthcare professionals both within the hospital and in the community.
* Offer support before, during, and after surgery, and cover clinics Monday to Friday.

The Gynae care team is committed to delivering high‑quality, individualised, holistic care at the brand New Harborne Hospital – a purpose‑built 50‑bed, multi‑specialty private facility with state‑of‑the‑art clinical infrastructure. It is part of the HCA Healthcare UK network and partners with the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust.
What You’ll Bring
* NMC registration
* Extensive relevant post‑registration experience in Gynaecology
* Mentoring / Teaching experience
* Experience in managing complex and difficult emotional situations in a clinical context
* Knowledge of current clinical advances and pathways of care relevant to Gynaecology
* Evidence of continuous professional development in the clinical area (e.g., relevant short courses and study days)
* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Completed relevant postgraduate course (Level 6 or 7)
