Job Summary
RHA is seeking to recruit GPs to support us in delivering high-quality primary medical services, covering a number of sessions across our practices.
Salary dependent on Experience.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Responsibilities will reflect requirements of the NHS GP Contracts, and as such may be subject to change as services adapt.

Rochdale Health Alliance (RHA) was established in 2016 by GP practices from across the Rochdale Borough to streamline service delivery and contribute to the development of wider health and social care in the Borough.

RHA supports 6 Primary Care Networks with services like finance, recruitment, contracts, ARRS staff employment, training, and development. We deliver enhanced access services for 5 PCNs, and are commissioned to manage winter pressures hubs, extended primary care hubs, and weekend/holiday GP appointment services. Our Primary Care Academy focuses on training, education, workforce development, and research.

Job responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
* Undertake face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations, including home visits, managing queries, paperwork, and correspondence efficiently.
* Make autonomous decisions on presenting problems, referring to other providers as needed.
* Assess health needs, screen for risks, develop care plans, provide counseling and health education.
* Manage patient caseloads, record consultation notes, and collect data for audits.
* Prescribe medications per formulary, prepare medical reports, and discharge or admit patients appropriately.
Other Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with practice policies on prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, and safety.
* Engage in lifelong learning, audits, and contribute to clinical standards and record management.
* Attend training and organizational events as required.
Person Specification
Experience (Essential):
* Minimum 6 months UK GP practice experience.
* Experience working with vulnerable groups, team player, calm under pressure, friendly, committed to development, excellent communication, record-keeping, time management, autonomous work, and innovative ideas.
Desirable:
* Clinical audit delivery, QOF management, EMIS Web and Docman experience.
Qualifications (Essential):
* GMC Registered, active without suspension.
* Qualified GP, on ICB performers list.
Desirable:
* CPD evidence, coil insertion competence, GPWSI experience, minor surgery skills.
