Applications are invited from candidates who are suitably experienced in reception duties to join our Urgent Treatment Centre at North Tyneside General Hospital. You will provide an efficient administration and clerical service to staff, visitors and patients attending the Urgent Treatment Centre.
The post holder must be able to use their own initiative, work under pressure, have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. You should have strong keyboard skills and have a knowledge of IT packages and their applications.

Responsibilities
* Provides an administration and clerical service to the medical, nursing and associated teams, including the patient and their relatives for an individual department.
* Provides customer care for all patients, relatives and carers and other healthcare professionals.
* Demonstrates own role to other receptionists and orientates staff to department systems.
* Provide reception service for whole hospital in out of hours period when main reception close.
* To provide an efficient administration and clerical service to unit staff, visitors and patients for emergency attenders, soft tissue and associated out-patient clinics.
* To provide a reception service, acting as first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, visitors and other healthcare professionals.
* To facilitate good communication with other wards and departments involved in patient care or ward/departmental functioning.
