WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Sales Engineer your mission is to deliver exceptional pre-sales engineering support to our partners and customers. By developing strong relationships as a trusted advisor, you help us drive sales growth and customer satisfaction. You work in close collaboration with our sales and marketing teams and your responsibilities includes product demoes, project design support, events, customer meetings and supporting colleagues and partners on technical and product related matters. As a Sales Engineer at Axis you’ll be in a unique position to learn the latest about our products and solutions and how they are used in a broad range of application areas, from security to industry projects. In this role you will work with our products and our partners and customers daily.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
· Deliver project design support by designing technical solutions that meet customer needs.
· Act as a trusted technical advisor and expert both internally and externally on technical and Axis product related matters
· Demonstrate, configure and setup Axis solutions for proof of concepts and demoes.
· Participate in tradeshows, customer meetings and events in order to represent the company
· Enable product sales by showcasing a strong business acumen.
· Develop your own skills and expertise continuously
· Actively collaborate with partner and colleagues around events, projects and customer activities
· Keep updated on latest developments in the industry
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We're seeking an enthusiastic engineer with a passion for technology, customers and business. You have a keen interest in helping our partners find the best possible Axis solution that meet customer needs in security and beyond. You are a team player and have a passion for achieving results through others. You can hold inspiring presentations and can explain complex technical topics to a mix of audiences. The right candidate has experience of working in pre-sales, ideally within the CCTV industry or alternatively within the IT industry. You are knowledgeable about networking and IP-based technologies and have some previous experience of APIs and programming. You are a keen and quick learner who always seek to learn and develop in your day-to-day work. Finally, you are creative, curious and passionate for technology.
The role involves frequent traveling throughout the North of the UK & Scotland, and occasional UK Wide and international travels.
Apart from this you have the following qualifications and experience:
· Degree in computer science or engineering preferred
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience from technical position in the IT or security industry
· Experience of working in a fast-paced sales environment
· Some experience of programming and APIs
· Fluent in English, both spoken and written (mandatory)
· Knowledge of network infrastructure is a plus
