Role Overview: As a Primary TA, you will work alongside class teachers to support pupils' learning, both in groups and one-to-one. Your role will include assisting with lesson preparation, managing classroom behaviour, and providing personalised support to pupils who may need additional help to reach their full potential. Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant: Provide classroom support to ensure pupils are engaged and on task. Work one-to-one or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives. Assist pupils with additional needs, including those with SEN or EAL. Support the teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons. Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Support classroom management and behaviour strategies effectively. Contribute to the creation of classroom displays and preparation of materials. Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant: Previous experience in a primary school or educational setting is desirable. A nurturing, patient, and supportive approach to working with children. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
