Job Details
We are looking for a highly skilled and committed technician to provide an effective technical/maintenance service to all departments of the school and to work with external departments/agencies to ensure corporate and legislative policies are adhered to.
The role will involve preparing equipment, apparatus and materials such as electrical, chemical, living, preserved items, teaching kits for use by teachers and pupils during classes in all departments as well as installing, commissioning and upgrading hardware, peripherals, software, and all networked IT devices in line with IT Services.
As a Technician, you will work under the direction and supervision of the Senior Technician.

The Person
Educated to SCQF level 7, which includes HNC or Advanced Highers or equivalent.
You are required to have good levels of interpersonal skills and abilities which will enable you to work as a member of a team to ensure positive outcomes for all children and young people.
Experience of working with minimum supervision in an environment of change and challenge.
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
