Operations Leader – Manufacturing
We are seeking an experienced Operations Leader to take full accountability for site performance and lead the operations team through a period of significant growth and change. The site employs over 250 people, operates up to eight production lines on a 24/7 basis, and produces more than 500 million units annually.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all operational activities from raw material receipt to finished goods dispatch.
* Deliver sustained improvement across safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale, and environmental (SQDCME) measures.
* Embed lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement across the site.
* Lead and develop the operations leadership team, ensuring capability, engagement, and performance.
* Maintain and enhance site safety, quality, and compliance standards.
* Manage site resources, budgets, and production plans to meet strategic goals.
* Represent the site within the senior management team and contribute to group operational strategy.
Experience and Skills Required
* Proven experience leading large-scale manufacturing operations.
* Demonstrated success driving performance improvement and cultural transformation.
* Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
* Experience in organisation design, recruitment, and capability development.
* Recognised safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH) and a strong focus on behavioural safety and zero harm.
* Effective leadership and influencing skills within a matrix structure.
This is a site-based leadership role reporting directly to the Operations Director. Re-location support is available on this position.
