IT Support Technician, permanent, full time position, fully office based Monday to Friday in central Staplehurst. We’re continuing to grow and need a qualified and tech savvy, IT Support Technician with Active Directory, Office 365 and helpdesk support experience to join our friendly team. There is travel within the UK, so you’ll need a full driving licence and be a car owner.
You’ll be the first point of contact for our sites across the UK for all IT issues & requests – and as part of this, you’ll travel to our sites to implement new technology and resolve issues. It’s essential you have previous experience as a IT Support Technician and good knowledge of a range of different IT systems and software programs and good people skills as well as a love of all thing tech!
Responsibilities for IT Support Technician
* Be the first point of contact for all IT issues, providing support on the helpdesk by phone & email to a high standard.
* Triage the tickets received, taking corrective action, escalating any problematic issues to the appropriate IT resource when necessary.
* Take a proactive approach to housekeeping, with daily system monitoring tasks helping to improve security and reduce the risk of potential issues.
* Create, manage and maintain user accounts and access permissions through Active Directory, Office 365 & other platforms.
* Assist with PC moves, setups, configurations and improvements.
* Oversee the 180+ PCs/Laptops across the group, ensuring they are kept uptodate with AV, Windows & supplier up-dates. Taking ownership of the groups IT inventory rec-ords.
* Liaise with our third-party IT suppliers to escalate issues and roll out changes.
