Job Title: Senior Residential Child Care Worker Children
Location: Leicester (LE1, LE2, LE4 and LE10
Salary: £36,000 depending on experience
Hours: Full-time one day on two days off
About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Residential Child Care Worker to join our childrens residential care team in Leicester. This is a hands-on leadership role, providing support and guidance to both children and staff, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.
As a Senior Residential Child Care Worker you will be instrumental in supporting the Registered Manager to deliver high-quality care for children with a range of needs, promoting their development, well-being, and positive outcomes.
Senior Residential Child Care Worker Key Responsibilities Provide direct care and support to children, promoting independence, learning, and personal development.
Supervise and mentor junior support staff, offering guidance, training, and feedback.
Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and reports to ensure the highest standards of care.
Maintain strong relationships with children, families, and external agencies.
Support safeguarding procedures and promote a safe and secure environment.
Assist in daily operations, including transport, appointments, and community activities.
Act as a role model, demonstrating professional and compassionate practice.
Senior Residential Child Care Worker Requirements Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent (essential)
Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
Proven experience working in childrens residential care or similar settings
Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
Ability to work as part of a team and support a positive, inclusive culture
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
