A new and exciting opportunity for a leading specialist manufacturer has become available in the Ipswich area. A client of ours is recruiting a Sales Director to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm and paying an excellent salary per annum depending on experience.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
* Overseeing the sales targets and analysis of related reports and actively working with all departments to ensure that financial objectives are achieved, and commercial risks are mitigated.
* Investigating how the company can make improvements.
* Ensuring appropriate sales resources are allocated and maximised for high-potential opportunities.
* Identify and engage potential customers through proactive prospecting, lead generation and networking activities.
* Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations.
* Responsible for leading, mentoring and managing the commercial and sales team.
* Liaise with department heads to prepare latest estimates on a weekly/monthly basis.
* Work closely with senior leadership team to assist in decision making for control of overheads and implement cost savings strategies.
* Develop and maintain excellent awareness of key customers to ensure their needs are being met.
* Stay informed of industry trends/markets.
* Ensuring tenders/contracts are managed end-to-end fairly, accurately and submitted on time.
* Ensuring contractual and commercial support is being provided to all aspects of the business.
* Contribute towards the preparation of the annual budgets, the long-range planning process and sales forecasts.
* Attend trade shows and networking events.
* Assist in the effective implementation and maintenance of systems and policies.
