Key Responsibilities
* To generate safety artefacts required to support the product safety argument, such as Safety & Environmental Management Plans, Hazard Logs and Safety & Environmental Case Reports.
* To facilitate appropriate hazard/risk identification including functional failure analysis, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, Fault & Event Tree Analysis.
* To develop product safety requirements.
* To support Project Design Authorities in achieving compliance with Legislation, Regulations and Standards applicable to the product(s).
* To assist in generating reasonable bid estimates.
* To peer review product safety‑related artefacts generated by others in the team.
* Ability to manage multiple safety programmes, including scheduling and interacting with stakeholders.
* To support the development of Product Safety training material and to deliver the training.
Skills & Behaviours
* Experience in the implementation and delivery of Product and System Safety Engineering activities is highly desirable.
* Ability to build positive and effective relationships with stakeholders, including team members and customers.
* Attention to detail.
* Willingness to learn.
Security Clearance
This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance. To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
