Are you a Software Engineer with a passion for solving complex problems that move people around the world? At TravelPerk, we’re on a mission to take the friction out of booking, managing, and optimizing business travel — especially flights, one of the most challenging and rewarding areas in travel tech. We’re not hiring for a specific stack. We’re hiring great engineers who love building elegant systems, scaling real-world products, and choosing the right tools to get the job done. What You’ll Do You’ll join our product and engineering teams to design, build, and scale the flight booking experience that powers thousands of business trips every day. You’ll work closely with our product managers, product designers, and other engineers to: Build and optimize our flight booking engine on Amazon Web Services using Python and React. Design scalable integrations with multiple airline and GDS APIs (think Amadeus, Sabre, NDC, etc.). Architect systems that handle search, pricing, and availability across millions of flight combinations — fast. You build it, you run it - ensure reliability, observability, and testability at scale. Work in an agile, cross-functional team, focused on shipping clean, well-tested, and documented code. What We’re Looking For A product-minded engineer who thinks beyond code to the user impact. A love for simplicity, efficiency, and performance in everything you build. Strong experience developing web-based products, ideally with a backend focus (Python, Node.js, Go, or similar). Full-stack experience allowing you to take end to end ownership of what you build. Passion for testing, code quality, and automation. Curiosity to learn new tools, frameworks, and travel industry tech. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Bonus Points Experience integrating or building flight search and booking systems. Familiarity with GDS, NDC, or airline APIs. Experience with AI-assisted development (Copilot, Cline, etc.) or building AI-backed product features. DevOps experience on AWS. Contributions to open source or side projects that show your love for building.
