About the Role
As SENCO, you will lead and coordinate the provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring statutory responsibilities are met and support strategies are implemented effectively.
You will work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to identify needs, implement targeted interventions, and monitor student progress.
The role includes oversight of EHCPs, intervention planning, staff training, and promoting inclusive teaching strategies across the school.
You will play a key role in supporting student wellbeing, inclusion, and access to high-quality education.

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to complete it
* Experience working with SEND provision in a school setting
* Strong understanding of SEND legislation and statutory requirements
* Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
Desirable
* Previous SENCO experience
* Experience managing EHCP processes and external agency partnerships
* Leadership or pastoral experience within a school setting
