Finance Assistant
Annual Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 per annum depending on experience

Reed Accountancy Oxford are proud to be partnering with a growing and developing company based in North Oxfordshire, who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their collaborative and supportive Finance Team. You will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of their Finance Team, taking ownership of the accounts payable function with opportunities for progression, working closely with the Assistant Accountant. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Assistant, with a year or two experience, to develop their skillset in a dynamic environment, contributing to the enhancement of their financial processes and systems.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Process supplier invoices promptly and ensure they are approved in accordance with company procedures.
* Liaise with departmental managers to facilitate timely invoice approvals.
* Handle staff and student expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies.
* Reconcile monthly credit card statements and secure necessary receipts.
* Engage with suppliers to reconcile accounts and resolve any queries.
* Issue purchase orders as required.
* Support a range of finance tasks including accounts receivable, matching cash receipts, and addressing customer queries.
* Provide ad-hoc support within the finance team, including participation in projects and the development of new systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in financial administration and invoice processing.
* Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the enthusiasm to contribute ideas and initiatives.
* Experience with accounting software (experience with Xero is desirable).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a positive and enthusiastic outlook.
