Brightwork are delighted to exclusively support a long-standing client in their search for a Warehouse Operative to join their busy operation in Glasgow.
Our client is a well-established business operating within the industrial supply an
d engineering sector, offering a stable working environment and long-term career opportunities. This role would suit a motivated and reliable individual who enjoys a varied position combining warehouse responsibilities with occasional driving duties.
Key Responsibilities
Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently
Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods
Carrying out stock rotation and inventory checks while maintaining accurate records
Keeping the warehouse organised, clean, and compliant with health & safety standards
Assisting with product assembly (training provided)
Cutting, preparing, and assembling components using specialised machinery
Ensuring all assemblies meet quality standards and customer specifications
Reading technical drawings or specifications where required
Inspecting parts and fittings to ensure safety and reliability
Undertaking general warehouse duties as required
Supporting delivery activities as part of the driving element of the role
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Full, clean UK driving licence
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational and prioritisation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Adaptability and ability to work under pressure
Willingness to learn and interpret technical information
Commitment to following health and safety procedures
Desirable:
Previous warehouse or stores experience
Experience assembling mechanical components
Ability to read technical drawings or specifications
Forklift licence or experience operating warehouse equipment
