We are seeking a thoughtful, compassionate, and innovative Specialist Clinical Psychologist to be at the forefront of a new multi-professional service in a paediatric health setting. The role involves working within Psychological Health Services as part of the NHS Children and Young People Gender Service (South West). The postholder will develop, deliver, and evaluate services provided by a multidisciplinary team, including clinical services, research, quality improvement, dissemination, training, and consultation.
All staff will have clinical and professional roles based on skills, interests, and service demands, which may include Staff Support.
Psychological Health Services is an award-winning department committed to leadership and the development of Trust-wide psychological services. Responsibilities include:
1. Providing clinical psychology services within Women and Children Service, primarily in the NHS Children and Young People Gender Service (South West), collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized psychological care.
2. Participating in research and audit activities to enhance evidence-based practice and share good practices in psychological and social care.
3. Providing line management, clinical supervision, and training for psychologists and staff as directed by the CYPGS Clinical Lead and Head of Psychological Health Services.
4. Offering clinical health placements and research opportunities for trainees.
5. Advising on and developing service policies, protocols, and guidelines related to psychological services for this population.
