NHS Lanarkshire are recruiting a part time Registered Nurse within CCU/MHDU at University Hospital Wishaw.
Responsibilities
* NHS Lanarkshire are recruiting a part time Registered Nurse within CCU/MHDU at University Hospital Wishaw.
* As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and/or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients.
* The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision. The post holder may be required to demonstrate procedures to and supervise registered and/or unregistered staff, as well as student nurses.
Location
This role will be based in CCU/MHDU within University Hospital Wishaw.
The working pattern for this role is rotational 11.5 hour shifts.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
* The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
* Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent time management skills
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
Desirable experience
* Nursing degree or diploma
* Experience of caring for patients in an acute environment
* Relevant experience working in an acute setting or emergency care area
* Experience working in a medical environment
* Knowledge and awareness of person centred care
* Knowledge and awareness of infection control guidelines
* BLS
* ILS

* 23 hours per week (salary pro-rata)
