About the Role
Are you a highly motivated and experienced registered staff nurse, ready to take the next step in your career? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hard‑working, driven individual to become a Charge Nurse within The National Treatment Centre Ward.
The National Treatment Centre Ward provides pre‑ and post‑operative care to patients having elective orthopaedic surgery. The inpatient ward is a 33‑bed unit with an adjoining admissions area. The ward implements the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) approach to optimise the rehabilitation process.
Key Responsibilities
* Shape and guide the nursing team to deliver high‑quality care.
* Work alongside the Senior Charge Nurse to monitor and prevent harm and incidents, improving patient experience and pathways.
* Lead the team in safely maintaining cleanliness and person‑centred care standards.
Key Skills and Qualities
* Ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads, competing demands and be flexible in an extremely busy environment.
* Passionate leadership and team collaboration experience.
* Critical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
* Clinical expertise and knowledge in surgical nursing care.
* Role modelling, empowering the team to deliver safe, high‑quality care.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to inspire, motivate, educate and lead a nursing team with passion.
* Ability to inspire and implement change to improve service delivery and performance.
