Tasks and Qualifications
Working for a globally recognized customer, the role demands dedication and professionalism that Dematic Customer Services is known for. As a Shift Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:
* Maintaining, repairing, and supporting equipment within the scope of the contract on the customer's site.
* Ensuring delivery meets Dematic and customer expectations to achieve KPI targets.
* Performing scheduled AMHE equipment servicing according to manuals and standards.
* Undertaking repairs following manufacturer recommendations and industry practices.
* Diagnosing faults in mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC, and PC systems and executing repairs.
* Prioritizing system faults.
* Complying with health and safety legislation.
* Recording all work accurately.
* Participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintaining product flow and on-site spares levels.
* Representing the company professionally and maintaining good customer relations.
* Adhering to quality processes and procedures.
Contributing to the team:
* NVQ Level 3 / ONC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* IOSH working safely (desirable).
* Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship.
* Understanding of technical manuals and drawings.
* Basic control systems and problem-solving skills.
* Basic PLC knowledge.
* Experience working at height.
* Experience with conveyor systems.
* Good PC literacy.
* Knowledge of PPM schedules.
* Understanding of FEM and BS standards in automated warehouses.
* Continuous improvement mindset.
* Proactive health and safety experience.
* Experience reviewing and creating risk assessments and method statements.
* Ability to manage contractors when required.
