About Us
CPM UK is hiring a Data Engineer to join our Liquid team in Thame, supporting our EPOS-driven clients and accelerating our shift toward scalable, automated data delivery. Reporting to the Head of Liquid, this is a hands-on role focused on building automation from our CRM (Storesight) master data, strengthening EPOS dataset accessibility, and enabling consistent, reliable insight across the business. If you enjoy improving data structures, reducing manual processes, and building well-documented, governed datasets, this opportunity offers a £32-36K basic DOE, hybrid working (3 days in the office), private healthcare, great holiday and more

What you'll be doing
* Designing and maintaining automated workflows that consume CRM store and product masters to power EPOS datasets and reporting.
* Building validation checks to identify store and product inconsistencies.
* Creating data dictionaries, interface contracts, and acceptance criteria for CRM to EPOS data flows.
* Owning the publication layer for EPOS data, ensuring datasets are standardised, documented, and accessible.
* Developing curated tables and semantic structures suitable for BI tools, including Power BI.
* Implementing data lineage, refresh controls, and SLAs to improve transparency and stability.
* Preparing validated datasets for reporting and supporting repeatable analytical templates.
* Documenting SOPs and introducing reconciliation and anomaly detection processes to strengthen data reliability.
You would enjoy this Data Engineer role if
* You have strong SQL skills and experience building curated tables and auditing data quality.
* You understand relational modelling, master data, and validation techniques.
* You are comfortable working with ETL or pipeline tools such as Power Query or Python.
* You communicate clearly and can explain data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* You take ownership of processes and proactively look for automation opportunities.
