The ideal candidate will lead a team of wealth planners, providing strategic direction and delivering comprehensive wealth planning services to high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients. The successful candidate will collaborate with relationship managers, investment advisors, and legal/tax professionals to provide holistic solutions that align with clients' long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the wealth planning strategy.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of wealth planners to ensure high performance and continuous professional development.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value-added and personalized wealth planning strategies and solutions.
* Provide expert guidance on UK tax and legal matters to private clients, ensuring their holistic wealth planning requirements are met.
* Represent the organization as a speaker at events on wealth planning subjects, showcasing expertise and promoting the company's capabilities.
* Work closely with private clients and their professional tax and legal advisors to draft memorandums, presentations, and technical notes.
Requirements:
* A thorough understanding of wealth planning subject matter, particularly relating to UK Resident/Non-Domiciled individuals, UK entrepreneurs, and financial market professionals, as well as international aspects related to their situation.
* Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or equivalent qualification is a minimum requirement.
* Proven track record in managing high-profile client relationships and strong relationship-building skills.
* Capacity to understand and analyze complex tax and legal issues, identifying where input is required from other jurisdictions.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
* Flexibility and creativity in resolving issues, considering multiple and complex legal, tax, regulatory, and operational constraints.
* A passion for working with private clients and regularly attending in-person meetings.
