Job Description Headteacher Primary (7/04346) Closeburn and Penpont Partnership HT05 £71,181 Combined Roll: 117 (including Nursery ) Closeburn Primary School | Dumfries and Galloway Council Penpont Primary School | Dumfries and Galloway Council We are seeking to appoint a leader with vision and a passion for learning who will, along with a management team, lead learning at Closeburn and Penpont Primary Schools Partnership. The Headteacher role is non-class committed and is supported by a full time Principal Teacher in each setting. In addition, Closeburn Primary has a Nursery setting which is managed by a Nursery Manager. This post offers an exciting opportunity to shape educational provision within a dynamic school partnership community which has high aspirations for all. Closeburn and Penpont Primary Schools are located north of Dumfries in the Nithsdale area. Both schools enjoy good facilities and their outlooks, over farmland and forest, are stunning. Thornhill and Dumfries are relatively close, the largest towns in the District of Nithsdale in south-west Scotland, with vibrant communities and with all major services and amenities. The wider area boasts many local industries including agriculture, forestry and tourism. Good housing is very affordable, and the area is easy to reach by car and public transport.
