Full – Time SEN Teacher – Basingstoke, Hampshire Passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? An inclusive and supportive secondary school in Basingstoke, Hampshire, is seeking a full-time SEN Teacher to join their team starting September. This rewarding opportunity offers a competitive salary between £30,000 and £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. Whether you are a newly qualified teacher (ECT) or a seasoned educator, you’ll be welcomed into a nurturing environment dedicated to student progress and staff development. Candidates who are shortlisted will have the chance to visit the school for a guided tour—offering valuable insight into the school’s atmosphere and ethos ahead of the formal interview stage. Interviews are set to be held in the upcoming weeks. Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, tailored lessons to students with special educational needs, ensuring individual EHCP targets are met. Plan and adapt the curriculum to support learners with autism, learning difficulties, and speech and language needs. Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, and other professionals to support student development. Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment. Monitor progress and report outcomes effectively to colleagues and parents. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience or strong interest in working with students with SEN. Understanding of EHCPs and how to apply them within the classroom. Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills. A compassionate and patient approach. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
