Trauma Wellbeing Mentor – SEND Provision - September 2025
Axcis Education is supporting a secondary SEND provision in Torbay that is seeking a Trauma Wellbeing Mentor to support children who have experienced complex trauma. This role is available for both part-time and full-time candidates (Monday to Friday), with working hours from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The daily pay rate ranges from £90 to £105, depending on prior SEND experience in mainstream or SEND school settings.

The school offers a bespoke, creative curriculum designed to engage students and develop essential life skills for future employment. A tailored behaviour policy helps students make small but meaningful progress, addressing negative behaviour patterns with a structured, supportive approach. The school has invested heavily in state-of-the-art provision to help students self-regulate when they become dysregulated, providing dedicated thinking spaces to support emotional well-being.
As a Trauma Learning Coach, you will:
1. Support students daily, helping them access their learning and provision
2. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
3. Coach students on emotional regulation and provide guidance on managing their feelings effectively
